Brick Bullet Charm Necklace
Made with Carnelian Beads, Red Jasper Beads, Turkish Glass Beads, with Crushed Brick and Resin in Bullet Case Pendant on 20 Gauge Brass Wire. 21 inches around.
The bullet shell pendant is from one of my first ever collections of jewelry made in 2013. I recycled bullet shells from a shooting range in Dexter Michigan. I cut the empty end of the shell off, then drilled into the middle, removing the center part of the shell. This left a small space to fill with resin. The blue orange-red material in the bullet shell is pieces of brick from an abandoned church on Grand River Ave. in Detroit. I broke the brick pieces with a hammer and set it into the bullet shell with resin. No other pendant exists quite like this one.
