Gutter Orange - Onion Natural Dye Set

Fabrics have been dyed with onion peels which is where their warm glow comes from.
I'm calling this color 'Gutter Orange' because it reminds me of these gucci shoes I saw years ago that were intentionally 'dirty' for some reason. The discovery of this high fashion brand using filth as an aesthetic prompted me to make a satirical make up video. Any way, the colors produced by the onion skins and some kind of reaction in the fabric which caused yellow and gray splotches in some areas of both garments reminded me of Dirty Gucci Shoes.
Not that I think this set looks dirty. It is just RAW. I deeply admire the vibrant orange tan tone that the onion skins created. I wish this set fit me!!
I sourced both of these fabrics from Discount Fabric in Clawson, MI. They source and sell dead stock fabrics. I love this shop because you can find unique color and texture fabrics here. These are both cotton fabrics. We did a 'burn test' to see if the fibers melted and they did not. The fibers burned which indicates a natural fiber not a synthetic one. The skirt feels like a light denim. The top is a knit rib and the texture is just amazing.
Please hand wash this clothing because it is dyed with natural dyes, use cold water and a gentle, pH-neutral detergent to preserve the color. Avoid wringing or scrubbing the fabric, and air dry it in the shade to prevent fading.
